A ray of sunshine. And a ukulele.

ACT Core Company member Keiko Green sends us her ACTShorts video from Southern California where she is pursuing her MFA in Playwriting from UCSD.

What is she missing most about the theatre? “I miss that what we do is exactly what we’re not supposed to do right now, which is share space with people, breathe the same air, sit a little too close… the power of connecting.” She’s painting and writing a lot and you’ll see her soon in brand new ACT digital content and in an upcoming reading series.

Keiko played Mash in ACT’s 2016 production of Stupid Fucking Bird. “That’s where MJ Seiber (who played DJ) and I met and fell in love,” Keiko says. “We got married in 2018 and the director of the play, Jessica Kubzansky, officiated at our wedding, so that show has an incredible amount of meaning for us.”

So, watch Keiko (along with guest appearances from MJ and dog Gus) as she shares one of her favorite ACT memories.

Keiko’s appearances on the ACT stage include:

2016 Stupid Fucking Bird As: Mash
2016 Dangerous Liasons As: Emilie
